Bering Watches

It's a shame if you do not already know the Bering watches as the brand contains lots of Danish history (and Scandinavian). Bering watches was founded by Rene Kærskov, with partner, after he in 2008 jumped out of a helicopter over the North Pole and as he hung there during the parachute, he fell in love with this incomparably beautiful but also harsh landscape even before he hit the ground. This gave him the idea to create something new, and that is where Bering watches comes from.

Bering watches have ancestry from hundreds of years back

You're probably thinking why the name exactly was "Bering", for this the explanation is simple. Vitus Bering was in fact the first European in Alaska when he in 1728 sailed in the Arctic Oceans, which was later named after him, namely what we know today as the Bering Strait. In fact, one of the four time zones in the area is designated as "Bering-time". The watches which are inspired by the Arctic landscape is rugged and durable, like the massive icebergs found in the Arctic, it was one of the main inspirations for Rene Kærskov on his journey to the North Pole.

Danish design is the core of wristwatches from Bering

Bering is quite a new brand, compared to many others, but Bering has still managed to create something unique that fits in an otherwise quite "crowded market". Bering models are created with Danish Rene Kærskov’s inspiration from the Arctic landscape, specifically the Bering Strait, named after Danish Vitus Bering who in 1728 sailed with his ship in this sea, thus becoming the first European in Alaska.

Bering watches are the best of Danish design and the models has the very special "clean" look which only Danish designer items have. Additionally, Bering puts a lot of emphasis on their watches to be tough and therefore often use both sapphire glass and ceramics, which are incredibly durable and the choice of materials gives the models a more exclusive look than the more common materials do.

Like any other serious brand, Bering focuses both on men and women. That is exactly why we of course have a great selection of both men's and ladies watches from the Bering. Common to all watches is the incredible elegance Bering manages to produce these designer watches with. There are plenty of choices and fortunately the prices are kept at a level that most can afford, it helps to make design more accessible.

Bering watches have a timelessly beautiful design and durability, just like icebergs in the Arctic, and this is combined with typical Danish design and results thus in what we on this site now can present as wristwatches from Bering. Bering has several series, some more exclusive than others, but common to all is that the Bering watches are always in a minimalist, elegant design with a casual elegance to them.
